About

Hello my name is Cheryl and animals have been my passion since I can remember.

At the age of 26 I had two young children and made the decision to go after my dream and embark on a professional career with animals. Qualifying with my level 3 Diploma in Animal Management I then volunteered in many different places including a wildlife rescue center, Battersea dogs & cats home, a dog groomers and boarding kennels.

I have always loved dogs especially and my heart told me this is where I belonged.

In 2016 I made a decision to move my family to Cornwall and this is where Chel’s Tails was born.

My inspiration to become a trainer came from my childhood dog Rio. Rio was a beautiful Staffordshire bull terrier but unfortunately was very reactive to other dogs. My parents did not know how to help him so they isolated him from other dogs and walking him was such an anxious and stressful experience for them and Rio.

My aim and goal as a trainer is to help dogs and their owners enjoy their lives together, making life happy and stress free.

My training is kind, ethical and force free so that your dog enjoys their training experience.
Chel’s Tails will give you the tools, confidence and support to train your best friend, leading to a relaxed life for you all.
